In June 1976 GAY NEWS in London published a poem by James Kirkup. The poem was about the love of a homosexual soldier for the dead Christ. This poem was prosecuted under UK Blasphemy law, and found guilty. All appeals to the European Court of Human Rights failed. The poem is still illegal in the UK. But I've never been one to pay too much attention to that sort of law. Here it is: The Love That Dares To Speak Its Name.
